Luigi Mangione Pleads Guilty in Brian Thompson Killing Case
Luigi Mangione pleaded guilty in a Manhattan federal court to two federal stalking charges resulting in the death of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, admitting he intentionally researched, targeted, and shot him. The US Attorney stated that this guilty plea allows prosecutors to seek the maximum sentence of life imprisonment, though Mangione still faces separate state-level murder charges to which he previously pleaded not guilty.
